What a great past few weeks in Tryon! Tryon Summer 5 brought great success! Some of the many highlights include
Hailey Hak & the amazing Houston jumped clear in their first High Jr Classic to finish 4th! Hailey also picked up 10th in the Medium Classic with Themis De Beauf’or Z
Sophia Bruny and her own Ultimate Grace took 4th in the Low Jr Classic and picked up the Reserve Champion in the Low Junior Jumpers. Awesome week Sophia!
Abi Kelley & Cayman AL claimed the Champion honors in the 18-35 3’3 AO hunters and rode a beautiful round to Win the Ariat Adult Medal!
Claire Bruny and Serenity Farm’s Cedric 42 Won the .80 Stake for the second week in a row!
Caroline Ravenel and the beautiful Crescenda Z picked up a top 10 finish in a very competitive High Adult Jumper Classic.
Julia Petree & Smooth Criminal had a great week in their Tryon debut in the High Adult Jumpers.
Jamie Buis and her mount Really Electra Xango finished their week with a bang and finished 3rd in their first High AO class together!
Tryon Week 6 brought great rides and great achievements as well!
Caroline Ravenel, Grandy De Laubry and her new horse Crescenda Z dominated the High Adult Jumper Division with! She took the Win in the Adult Classic on Grandy & finished 3rd on Crescenda Z. She also has placed in every other class throughout the week and has been riding great despite struggling with severe back pain for the past 3 months. Way to go Caroline!
Claire Bruny and Ollie made their USHJA National Hunter Derby debut in the International Stadium on Friday with a super round! She also picked up a 6th place in the Children’s Hunter Over Fences out of 17 horse and rider combinations!
Sophia Bruny rode a remarkable round on Shakiro to earn 2nd place in the ASPCA Maclay and 3rd in the NHS Medal on Rey. In the Low Junior Jumper Classic on Grace and Zoey, Sophia finished 3rd and 4th along with picking up the Champion for the division! Not forgetting to mention that most of these classes went at exactly the same time on Sunday so she had to go back and forth and still rocked it! We are so proud!
Hailey Hak got to know new mount Houston this week and picked up a 6th in their very first Medium Junior Jumper class and won the USEF Show Jumping Talent search medal. This secured her Open Water Certificate that she has been needing to get in order to qualify for the North American Young Rider Championships in Traverse City at the beginning of August! Congratulations on qualifying!
Chris Jansen’s Inclusion, or as everyone knows him as “Jack” has been one of our most consistent horses throughout our stay here in Tryon picking up 2 Top 10 placings out of the last 3 derbies he has shown in.
Jamie Buis and Elastique have also been moving up the ranks each round with consistent rounds in the Medium Amateur Owner Jumpers. We love watching this pair grow and learn together everyday.
Thank you to our team and congratulations to everyone on successful weeks at Tryon!
