More than just another weekend of competition in Wellington, the Florida State Fall show represented the start of finals season for Team Serenity. With excellent performances from both our junior equitation riders and adult jumpers, we’d like to extend our congratulations and excitement to our team for the upcoming season.
Kicking off finals with a bang, Sophia Bruny topped off the week’s success with an impressive performance in the Zone 10 ASPCA Regionals. With a twelfth place finish, Sophia earned her spot to compete at the prestigious ASPCA Maclay National Finals during the National Horse Show. Aboard her jumpers, Sophia also won a Low Junior class on Ultimate Grace and a 1.20m Jumper aboard Halifax Van De Conynenberg.
Another one of our junior superstars, Sadie Remington, piloted Tom Sawyer to champion in the 12-14 Equitation, in addition to a win in the USHJA 3’3” Hunter Seat Medal. In the jumpers, Sadie also took home Reserve Champion in the Low Childrens with her new mount Clintour De Torres.
Not to be outshined, our crew of adult amateurs showed off their experience with excellent performances in the jumper ring. In the 1.20 Jumpers, Jamie Buis finished just under a second behind Sophia and Halifax aboard her own Elastique HST. Jamie’s other horse, Killossery Karma, captured a 1.25m Open Jumper win with Kelli Cruciotti Vanderveen. With great ribbons all weekend, Leanne Strauss and Cedric finished strong with third place in the .95m Jumper Classic.
Serenity Farm Show Stables would like to thank our clients, grooms, and sponsors for an incredible show year and look forward to our future success this upcoming finals season. We’d also like to wish an extra special congratulations and good luck to Sophia Bruny on her fantastic performance and qualification for Kentucky!
