As the heart of finals season kicks in, Cindy and Team Serenity traveled to the Capital Challenge Horse Show at Prince George’s Equestrian Center in Maryland. Sadie Remington and Sophia Bruny both put in fantastic rounds all week across various divisions.
In preparation for the USHJA 3’3 Medal Finals, Sadie Remington and her own Tom Sawyer rode to a 6th place finish in the 12-13 Year Old Equitation over fences. Her first time competing in this final, one with a gymnastics phase at that, Sadie put in incredible rides to finish Top 25 out of more than 160 competitors!
Sophia Bruny also took on the equitation ring, putting in consistent trips aboard Bonneville and Shakiro in the Open and 16 Year Old Equitation. With the ultimate goal of preparation for Harrisburg, Sophia and Shakiro focused on the details and put in a solid rides at Capital Challenge for the North American Junior Equitation Championships.
In the jumper ring, Sophia piloted both of her horses to great ribbons. In addition to their 10th place finish in the NAL Low Jr/Am Finals, Sophia and Ultimate Grace also jumped to 12th in the Welcome. Aboard Halifax Van De Conynenberg, Sophia placed 8th in the Medium Jr/Am Welcome and 11th in the Classic.
We are so proud of both Sadie and Sophia for their performance all week at the Capital Challenge Horse Show. We look forward to our next competition, where we will head to Harrisburg for the Pennsylvania National Horse Show. Team Serenity wishes an extra special good luck to Sophia Bruny and Shakiro as they take on Dover USEF Medal Finals.
Our clients and grooms make every show special, but we are extra appreciative of their hard work this time of the year! We’d also like to thank our sponsors for all they do to keep our horses happy and healthy, including GGT-Footing, Devoucoux, Ariat, and Platinum Performance.
