After a second successful week during Week 6 of Tryon International Equestrian Center’s Spring Series, Serenity Farm Show Stables would like to congratulate all of our clients on a great performance. Coming off of last week’s momentum, Team Serenity is proud of the personal growth seen from each of our riders.
This week, our junior riders put in excellent trips in the jumper ring, reaching new goals and accomplishments. Riding Ultimate Grace, Sophia Bruny sailed to a win in the Low Junior Jumper Stake, also putting in great trips aboard Halifax Van De Conynenberg in the Medium Junior Jumpers. Her younger sister, Claire, rode Serenity Farm’s Zidante to third in the Low Children’s, as well as seventh in the classic.
Our adult jumpers also saw success this week, with Caroline Ravenel jumping to blues in the 1.0m jumpers on both Crescenda Z and Grandy De Laubry. In the Adult Amateur Jumpers, Caroline had great trips with both horses, taking second and fourth aboard Grandy De Laubry. Family Affaire started the week with a win in the 7YO Jumpers with Kelli Cruciotti Vanderveen, followed by fourth place in the Low Amateur Classic with owner Julia Stephens. Also competing in the Low Amateur Jumpers, Jamie Buis rode Elastique HST to second in the classic, along with another 2nd place finish aboard Killossery Karma in the jump off class on Friday. Jamie’s other horse, Really Electra Xango, had great trips with Kelli in the 1.40m Jumpers. Leeann Strauss and Cedric also had great trips in the .80m and .90m jumpers, taking home two blue ribbons.
In the equitation ring, Sadie Remington and Tom Sawyer shined once again in the 12-14, winning the flat and placing third over fences. In the medals, Sadie tested to second place in the USHJA Jumping Seat Medal, second in the EJ Haun Medal, and fifth in the SCHJA Governor’s Cup. Also competing in the 12-14 Equitation, Claire Bruny and Monterrey took home a pair of 5th place ribbons, as well as seventh in the SCHJA Governor’s Cup. In the big equitation, Sophia Bruny piloted Bonneville to a fourth place finish in the USEF Medal.
Coming off last week’s Championship in the Amateur Owner Hunters, Abigail Grace Kelley and Cayman A.L. returned to the ring without missing a beat, this week claiming Reserve Champion with two seconds and two thirds. Once again, Claire Bruny rode All Inclusive to consistent ribbons in the Children’s Hunters.
To top it all off, the whole Serenity team took to the sidelines to support our four horse and rider combinations who competed this past Friday on the Derby Field. First to go was Claire Bruny aboard All Inclusive, who put in a respectable trip in the $3000 USHJA Jr/AM Hunter Derby. In the $40,000 USHJA International Hunter Derby under the lights, Kelli, Abigail, and Sophia each rode two beautiful rounds to win a plethora of ribbons for Serenity Farm. Taking top honors for the team was Kelli Cruciotti Vanderveen and Gambler B in third overall, followed closely behind by Sophia Bruny and Shakiro in fifth and Abigail Grace Kelley and Cayman A.L. in sixth.
Congratulations to all of Team Serenity on an incredible week, and as always, thank you to both our clients and grooms! We could not do this without you!
