Congratulations to all of our clients on another successful week at Tryon. We have seen incredible progress and results and would like to highlight a few of our many achievements this week.
Caroline Ravenel has been dominating the High Adult Jumper Division with Grandy De Laubry and her new horse Crescenda Z. Despite recovering from a back injury, Caroline has proved herself by placing in every class throughout the past few weeks. On Sunday, Caroline claimed the win in the Adult Classic on Grandy and finished third on Crescenda. Way to go Caroline!
Kudos to Claire Bruny and All Inclusive on a great trip in their debut performance in the USHJA National Hunter Derby in the International Stadium! She also picked up a great ribbon in the Children’s Hunter Over Fences, taking sixth place in a large crowd.
Sophia Bruny rode multiple horses to success this week, including a second place in the ASPCA with new mount Shakiro. Thanks to Don Stewart for helping us find this excellent match. Sophia also picked up third place in the NHS Medal on Serenity Farm’s Monterrey. With two mounts in the Low Junior Jumpers, Ultimate Grace and Zidante, Sophia claimed Champion and collected a third and fourth in the Classic.
Hailey Hak got to know new mount Houston this week, with a sixth-place finish in their very first Medium Junior Jumper class. Together, they also won the USEF Show Jumping Talent Search medal. Hailey secured her open water certificate to quality for the North American Young Rider Championships in Traverse City at the beginning of August.
Throughout our stay in Tryon, Chris Jansen’s Inclusion was consistently successful, picking up two Top 10 placings out of three of the last derbies he competed in.
Jamie Buis and Elastique HST continue to move up the ranks each round with consistent rounds in the Medium Amateur Owner Jumpers. We love watching this pair grow and learn together every day.
To top of the week, Kelli Cruciotti-VanderVeen and Hadja Van Orshof captured fourth place in the $137,000 Cleghorn Gun Club Grand Prix CSI3*. We are so happy about this amazing mare’s return to competition!
We are really proud of each and every person and excited for our final week!
