Serenity Farm Show Stables would like to extend our congratulations to all of our clients on a fantastic Week 5 of Tryon International Equestrian Center’s Spring Series. In addition to the ribbons, our riders achieved great experience and personal goals throughout the week.
Abigail Grace Kelley and Cayman A.L. had an excellent week, starting off strong with a win in the Ariat National Adult Medal. In the Amateur Owner Hunters, the pair rode to blue ribbons in three classes, including both the handy and the classic, to take home the championship.
Sadie Remington and Tom Sawyer shined in the equitation ring, taking home the blue in the 12-14 Equitation and placing second over fences. The pair also rode to consistent ribbons in the medals, including third in the THIS Medal. Also competing in 12-14 Equitation and Children’s Hunters, Claire Bruny piloted All Inclusive and Monterrey to consistent ribbons throughout the week. Claire also rode to great ribbons in the Low Children’s Jumpers aboard Zidante, including two thirds.
In the Low Junior Jumper Classic, Sophia Bruny was double clear on both mounts to take 2nd and 4th aboard Ultimate Grace and Halifax Van De Conynenberg, respectively. In the equitation, Sophia and Bonneville rode to multiple ribbons, including a win 15-17 flat and second in the EJ Haun Medal.
Kelli Cruciotti Vanderveen piloted Caroline Ravenel’s Grandy De Laubry to the win in the $2000 Open Jumper Stake, also placing with Crescenda Z. Caroline also rode her two horses to great ribbons in the Low Adult Amateur Classic, including third on Grandy De Laubry and seventh aboard Crescenda Z. Kelli also rode Jamie Buis’ Really Electra Xango to two fourth place ribbons in the 1.30m jumpers. Jamie Buis and Killossery Karma sped to second place in a 1.15m jumper class.
Julie Stephens and Family Affaire also saw success in the jumper ring, taking second in the Adult Amateur Classic. In the .80m Jumpers Leeann Strauss and Cedric 42 were double clean in two classes to take home a win and third place.
Always a fun event, multiple Serenity horse and rider pairs competed in the $5,000 USHJA Hunter Derby, including Abigail and Cayman A.L, Sophia and Shakiro, and Kelli and Gambler B. Kelli and Gambler B, who also saw consistent ribbons in the performance hunters, rode two rounds to take fourth in the derby.
Serenity Farm would like to thank our clients for their support and our staff for their hard work. None of this would be possible without you!
